Miami Swim Week 2021: The Best Beauty Looks to Copy This Year

We recently watched swimsuit models from various brands show off the latest swimwear styles during Miami Swim Week 2021. Olivia Ponton, Suede Brooks, Mads Lewis, and many other beautiful women strutted their stuff in Miami Beach, showing off the latest styles we can all get excited about this year. We loved the emphasis on inclusivity, representation, and natural beauty for all.

Since we’re still thinking about the show at FRANZ Skincare, here are some of our favorite swimsuits and beauty looks from the Miami Beach event and why we love them.

Kathy Jacobs: Beauty at Every Age

During the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show, model Kathy Jacobs walked out in a burnt orange two-piece, bare feet, and gorgeous spiral curls. 57-year-old Jacobs showed that age is just a number—and that aging gracefully is entirely possible.

As the oldest and shortest Sports Illustrated Rookie of the Year, Jacobs makes us all proud. She also has us all wondering about her skincare routine! Perhaps she upholds her natural beauty with microcurrent facials? Whatever she’s doing, it’s working.

    Jayda Cheaves: Ocean Vibes

Jayda Cheaves, an Instagram influencer, showed off a multi-colored blue one-piece with a diagonal neckline that had us all thinking of a trendy weekend trip to the beach. Her slicked-back, knee-length hair, anklet, and shades completed the look. Cheaves continued to impress us with a second outfit—a simple black bikini top with skin-tight leopard pants.

Jayda’s outfit has a special place in our hearts because the ocean is what inspired the anti-aging technology in our Microcurrent Dual Face Masks. The power of the sea creates a gentle earthquake movement on your face, opening up the pores to let in more moisture and provide a soft, anti-aging massage.

    Angela Simmons: Blue Beauty

Speaking of the ocean, Angela Simmons stood out in all her beauty with a royal blue bikini, lightly draped with a duster in different shades of blue. The swimsuit style showed off every beautiful curve.

Angela’s long, loose curls, smokey-eyed makeup, and nude lipstick completed the look during The Matte Collection’s fashion show.

This year’s Swim Week also had the most diverse group of models yet. We love the emphasis on swimwear and beauty for everybody, as there were over 30 pieces designed for all body types. We saw representation for transgender models, plus-size models, disabled models, and much more. It was an event to celebrate people of all types and sizes, showing that swimwear should make everyone feel beautiful in their skin.

Kayla Maria G: Swimwear for Everyone

Model and dancer Kayla Maria G started the modeling of Pretty Little Thing’s collection for the show. Wearing a patterned bikini, Kayla dazzled us all with her shoulder-length curls, natural makeup look, and contagious confidence during the choreographed dance.

On her Instagram, Kayla posted about how having a limb difference has affected her view of herself and her dreams. She also said that “inclusion campaigns are the first step to normalization” and that she is “extremely proud of being part of that barrier break.”

Anna Sarol, who came out looking gorgeous in a cream cut-out halterneck swimsuit with shades, beachy waves, and bright blue toenail polish, took the stage in her wheelchair. She shared about disability pride on her Instagram later.

“Without [inclusivity], we teach our world who belongs and who doesn’t,” Anna shared. “Take a second to think about all of the young children who look at their screens and internalize the thought, ‘Why don’t I look like that? Why am I not beautiful?’ And what it would mean for people like us for that to change to, ‘Hey! Someone who not only looks but moves just like me.’”

Model and Alopecian advocate Dani Candray also made a showstopping appearance in a sheer chocolate bralette and flare trousers while carrying a small pink clutch.

    TikTok and Swimwear

Olivia Ponton modeled for boohoo wearing a peach and pink cut-out contrast swimsuit. Her long, blonde beachy waves fit the esthetic of the piece—and the show—perfectly. This was also the first year boohoo participated in Miami Swim Week.

Known for her viral lifestyle and dance videos on TikTok, Olivia has one of many TikTokers and influencers who walked in the show. Boohoo also did a giveaway where two followers, Arnesah and Ocean Van Exel, were chosen to model swimsuits in the event.

We love that the theme of Miami Swim Week 2021 centered around wearing swimwear for every body type. At FRANZ Skincare, we’re passionate about women (and men!) feeling confident in their own skin. That’s why we help people reverse the signs of aging naturally through science-based products inspired by the earth.

While you’re out in the sun this summer (perhaps in one of the outfits modeled during Miami Swim Week 2021!), don’t forget to shield your skin from the sun and utilize aging prevention products to nourish and protect your precious skin.

FRANZ Skincare offers research-backed microcurrent facial masks, anti-aging serums, creams, and more for all ages. It’s never too late to start a skincare routine (in fact, we recommend it as soon as possible) and preserve the youthfulness of your natural beauty!
